FAQ

Can you put several PiBlock modules on top of each other?

Yes, it is possible. That is part of the basic idea of the PiBlock module series.

How many PiBlocks can you stack?

There is no limit or similar. integrated. The limit results from the voltage loss caused by the blocks as an electrical component. Above a certain stack height, the top PiBlock simply does not receive enough power to use it. 10 boards were already tested without problems.

You can use the PiBlock Also use modules on mini computers other than the Raspberry Pi?

Yes, if they have the same pin assignment like the 40-pin GPIO connector from the Raspberry Pi. Furthermore, there has to be enough space for the size of the HAT (i.e. no other components that hinder the assembly).

For example Orange Pi, ODROID-N2, Banana Pi M3 and M4, Asus Tinkerboard S, Rock Pi 4 and AMLS905XCC (Le Potato).

But there are also some that don't work. These would be e.g. Atomic Pi, CUBIEBOARD and BeagleBone.

Generally speaking, the 4-eyes principle counts. Always check the assignment of the 40-pin GPIO connector yourself beforehand.

Do the modules also work with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model A +?

Yes, since the same connector is used as for the large Pi. The Pi Zero would also work. Appropriate mounting holes are provided for the Zero
